7 UP BISCUITS

I’ve already shared my other favorite easy biscuit recipe and it has the same basic ingredient as this one. I definitely encourage you to try making Bisquick Biscuits.

If you’re wondering how these two recipes are different, this 7 Up Biscuit Recipe requires a few more ingredients and you get a moist and super fluffy biscuit. Most of the time they don’t rise as tall as when I make Bisquick biscuits with milk, but they’re both simple recipes that make delicious biscuits.

If I have the ingredients on hand, I love making these 7 Up biscuits with Bisquick.

CAN I SUBSTITUTE SPRITE FOR 7 UP?

Absolutely, you can use any lemon-lime soda for this recipe. I’ve also seen people make 7 Up Biscuits using sodas like Mountain Dew and Ginger Ale!

The one thing you want to make sure is that you use some type of soda when you’re making these biscuits.

WHAT DOES 7 UP DO IN BAKING?

You don’t want to forget to add the 7 Up or soda because the carbonation in the soda is what helps lift these biscuits up.

WAYS TO EAT BISCUITS

You can top flaky homemade biscuits with butter and they’re delicious, but there are a ton of other delicious ways to top your biscuits.

  • Jelly or jam
  • Honey
  • Apple butter
  • Peanut butter
  • Nutella
  • Sausage Gravy
  • Fried chicken or chicken tenders
  • Pimento cheese
  • Everything But the Bagel seasoning (if you want to use this, I recommend sprinkling it on the biscuit dough before baking them)
  • Cheese

These also work great for breakfast sandwiches and really any kind of sandwich you enjoy on a biscuit!

They also pair well with soups and stews for a hearty meal. If you’re looking for something a little different for your Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter meal, add these on the side and your whole family will be thankful!
